    I have a 1,2,4 and 10 the 10 is all ive ever known but I think the 12 would be slightly stronger and less hollowed out. I do my razors on the 2 but mostly a 4 inch wheel and take then to what is considered 1/2 hollow. I would never make a knife even close to that as the blade is to fragile. Im...

    The new pic is excellent , the old was really good too but much darker . I made a light box but need better lights the lights are the key in my opinion . Thats why pictures outside are hard to beat with direct sun light. Great wood and knife kellyw

    I use my carbide deburing tool for my rifle cartriges it works excellent instead of flaring the thong tube . Very nice wood on a well made knife. Kellyw

    Nwkg help

    What ever you do dont cheap out on the wheels, its the difference between a vibration or perfection. Its no fun when a belt flys off in your face because your wheels arnt crowned. Even then they can still come off if your tension is to loose but every little bit helps. Kellyw

    Tracey I had thought of a little glue might help this problem out. I would feel bad if a scale popped off then having to fix the problem sometimes is harder than making a handle from scratch. Thanks ya all I hope more input on this subject helps me make a decision. Kellyw

    Mystery Wood - Need some help identify it.

    Well my first guess would be iron wood with sap wood , I have some like that and it is the lowest grade of ironwood . It makes nice handles but I would dye it when it is over whelming .

    I have been using the norton norax belts pretty much since I started making knives. the new u936 I will be ordering soon they are a ceramic belts and will outlast other belts up to 5 times as long. I just read Ed s post and will get them from rob if he has them . They sound real good. kellyw
