Jantz sells that it is a composite and would work like stone and g10 kinda combined . I would use wood like stabilized curly maple for a santoku very pretty stuff and much easier to work with. kellyw

Laurence Mike is right, I would never try to sharpen a razor for a customer until I had done 20 or 30 practice on my own first. A good dovo could set you back 2 or 3 hundred dollars if you ruin it and it is very easy. Make a razor ,or go buy a couple and practice. It takes 15 to 30 min to...

I agree with rob I use G2 epoxy from lee valley its not cheap but is one of the on epoxys out their with a -40 f rating and is tuff under the worst comditions. Kellyw

I agree with doug lester if the wood is stabilized your waisting your time redoing something that is properly done in the first place. Most top stabilization companys and products being used will take alot of abuse. If your looking for a material that works well underwater then their are lots...

I have used the blaze orange belts lots with no problems but I would change my platten to glass way easier to clean with a razor blade. kelly
