    Thanks everyone!!! I am really liking this knife I liked working the Elmax, I kinda wish I had more to try a mirror polish on one. Peter's Heat treat did the heat treating of this one.

    Rust prevention on kitchen knives.....

    The couple old carbon kitchen blades I have, have a nice patina on them and I just wash, dry and let be. When I remake our entire kitchen collection(someday) we will probably use a food grade oil of some sorts.

    Yeah I am curious to see also, I have a bunch of O1 stock and am going to start cutting blades out. Whats your recipe for heat treat and temper for O-1? If you don't mind sharing :)
