    This is my high tech finishing set up. Twisted damascus with logging cable on its side. Looks like little stars in the dark bands. Should we continue here with the progress ?

    1095-1080-15N/20 layered with cable on end. The darker bands are the cable, but not the long axis. Looks like little stars in the darker bands. Work in process. This to about 400 stone.

    CCT Specs Liners.063 Ti, Blade is 440C @ .125 ". Stainless spacers, pivot and stop. 2-56 screws, with #6 Torx head. 440C hard to 59, triple temper at 275, cryo stabilized. Bronze washers, stainless clip. Size is a Credit Card, hence Credit Card Tactical (CCT). Weight 2.2 oz.

    Stone wash This texturing works much better than I thought it would. The Ti holds up VERY well with this finish. The bead blast tends to scratch on the Ti. The hardened 440C takes a bit of time, and you have to rinse the stone off.

    Grinders-Variable Speed-grit What ever you get, make sure it is variable speed. The speed is very important to grit size. I love files, Use the belts only for tuning. Jim

    CCT Stone-Washed Finish

    Hand sand with 400 wet/dry. Use a glass slab for the flats, then fingers for hollow areas. After the stone-wash I cover the blade except for the edge in painters tape. Then sharpen. I like the edge defined, bright.

    The Mac Carr that you recommended. Used laundry soap, all the water I could get in. One hour, drain & rinse, one more hour. Thanks to all that have assisted. Liking this finish. Jim
