Blood and guts all over my shop!

No not really........... that was a cheap ploy to get you in here so I could spam you and tell you that I have a raffle going on down in my knifemakers forum. I knew that title would get your attention! :D Tracy or my fellow admins, I didn't know if this was allowed but they say it's better...

Balisong Kit Input Needed -- Give us your thoughts

Internal stop pins might be better for a kit, I'm ofcoarse partial to CPM154 but if you want to keep the cost down then ATS-34 is the way to go, you can do either ti liners to allow the builder to use different handle materials or you can do solid ti handle slabs but that complicates the...

    St. Louis show this weekend

My wife and I are heading out tonight for the Gateway Area Knive Collector's show in St. Louis. We're going to stop at Jim and Sue Krause's first and I'll spend some time with Jim in his shop, then the show is on Sat. and Sun.. Here is a photo of my meager offerings for the show.

getting your knives into dealers hands

I'd have to agree with that. I still run across a few makers who grumble about the discount, but with the right dealers it's not only a steady income, it's just about the best advertising you can get.

getting your knives into dealers hands

That clarifies things a bit, I'll still call you sometime to make sure I get it right, I think I also need to talk to another dealer to make sure I haven't been doing him wrong. I've been full-time for over four years now and just when I think I've got it mostly figured out I find out there's...

    Cork belts

I use the greaseless compounds from Jantz to recharge the cork belts, they come in grits from 80 to 600. It grear for an as ground satin finish and it will cut but I don't know how it will work if your going to a mirror polish.

getting your knives into dealers hands

I like to hear a good tale of woe (with names named) as much as the next person, but according to the rules, if he names names is post would likely be deleted. Richard I'll take you to task on another portion of your post though, actually "taking you to task" might be the wrong way to put it...

    Linerlock Questions

To summarize: cut lock area on blade (I mostly go about 8 deg.) to just shy of lock engagement then use a 400 grit until the lock engages where you want it. clean up lock tab face with 400 grit, remember to curve the top of the lock back, you want about 2/3 of the bottom of the lock tap to...

    Linerlock Questions

There are a lot of different schools of thought fixing sticky locks so I'll just tell you what I've learned. I had a lot of problems with sticky locks when I started making folders with thicker liners (.080" and up) so I talked to Mr. Terzuola about it, he said to us the wheel on your belt...
