    Oh look a chisel!

Well I had some time in the shop today when other projects were either tempering or gluing up so I took a stab at making a chisel. I had some scrap brass, curly maple, and 1084 and went to it. I loved/disliked this one so much that I will be making several more tomorrow! I've never been very...

    A big project

Hello all I wanted to share my project of the last week...it was a ton of work but I'm calling it done. I did this single edged viking sword all with hand hammers and it measures just shy of 32 inches over all length. The guard and pommel are antiqued brass and stainless steel pressure fitted...

    An Ugly Duck

Now I know that some people will like this knife and some may even say it's pretty, but I just hate I hate it I hate it! Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! Seriously though this one has been kicking around the shop for a few months and needed a handle so I put one on but I'm not happy with it. I think...

    A new dirk

Thank you Scott for the kind words, I woke up early this morning and redesigned my maker's mark...what do you guys think? Unfortunately this dirk will receive my old maker's mark as I don't have time to get the new stencils made before it has to be shipped.

    A new dirk

Thank you all for the kind words, this project started as a headache but ended up being one of my favorites. I was able to nearly finish the sheath today but not quite so here is a sneak peak. A point goes to anyone who can guess what wood the sheath is made out of...better quality close ups to...

    A new dirk

Hello all, I had to take a brief break from all of those puukkos (they were starting to drive me a bit nutty) to work on a custom order. The title says it all. I still have to finish the sheath tomorrow but I thought I would share the knife so far. The handle is brass and cocobolo, but the end...

    Puukkos!!!

Lagrange, no need to feel dumb at all, this style of knife is not very well known yet in the states. As far as sharpening goes we do mostly sharpen the blade prior to assembly but we put the final edge on after assembly. I like to use an 800 grit belt for the final edge and haven't yet had a...

    Puukkos!!!

I just remembered that I had one of the puukkos in my bag so I snapped a photo of it this morning. This is the "pattern" layout that we would like to do on all future puukkos. It is green leather, Bolivian rosewood, stainless steel, cherry and then repeat with brass. This one still needs to be...
