    Frank...... I found this about using Mobile 1, this Morning, went and read all the post. So I went and got a quart from "Advance Auto Parts" to try this Morning. Mobil 1 5W-30...It WORKS Just Like you Said!!.....Will be what I use from now on!! ...Thanks so much for Sharing!!;) Frankallen

    Walnut and 1095 Bullnose Skinner

    Here's another I just finished. A bullnose skinner. I really like this profile. The knife has a satin finish. 1/8" 1095..Overall 8 1/2" long. Blade length...4 1/8"....Blade height 1 1/4"....Hope y'all like it. Thanks for looking:) Frank

    Cherry 1095 Upswept Skinner

    Here's a an Up swept Skinner I made in the last few days. This one has some of Kevin's (Woodman) beautiful Cherry Crotch scales on it. First time, I have ever done this particular profile.The Overall length is 9 5/8"....Handle is 5"...Hope y'all like it....Thanks for looking!!:) Frank

    Yellowheart and 1095 skinner

    Here's one I made for one of my friends Uncle. The scales are "Yellowheart" and steel is 3/32" 1095. Overall length 9 1/4" long, Blade length 4 3/4". First time I've ever done this blade profile. Hope y'all like it. Thanks for looking!!:) Frank

    How long did you let it stay in the forge, after being non-magnetic?? You should not have overheated it, if you kept checking with a magnet??

    Here's a "Camp Knife" I made in the last couple of days. For me, it's a big'un. It's 12 1/4" long. The handle is 5 1/4"..Blade is 1095, 7", and 1/8" thick...This one is my first knife that I heat treated in my new forge. The handle is Cherry from "Woodman" (Kevin) on another forum...Man, does...

    Maple and 1095

    Here's a knife I made in the last few days. Got some wood from Kevin (Woodman) on another forum and used his Maple in this Knife. Man, does he have some beautiful wood... I contoured the back of the Knife to put a little style in it. Hope you like it and Thanks for Looking!!:) Frank
