    Brad i'm HT noob, never tried it, so what i was told before was heat below temper heat and use the fixture you just mentioned recently two different people suggested the flame straightening, one said he learned it by heating with hair dryer (or heat gun too probably) and touching one side...

    Roger, it takes time and not just the abscent minded passing of blade across the belt, you need to slow down and notice what you're doing im new to this but i'm getting better, my *personal* opinion, take from it what you want and leave what you want is i dont want to depend on jigs and tools...

    very nice work your nephew is very lucky :) wear GOOD respirator when working with synthetic and phenolic material! i never used 1084 but i THINK (and dont take my word for it) that might be good performance still

    hi-lo! i send my work to a HTer who can do a not-so-good job from time to time in the past period i got back from him seriously warped blades in Sverker21 (d2) and 55Cr3(5155) i was going to go for the heat in oven with clamps and shims but someone suggested flame straightening method...

    Thanks Mark :) I used the 10" to remove most of the steel, then switched to 3" I really like the deep curve the 3" wheel leaves

    it has been a while but I'M BACK BABAAYY!! finished today Sverker21 black Canvas Micarta with orange G10 liner next comes sharpening, putting my mark and sheath a year and week ago i finished those two knives, the dagger is the first i finish after the year, some difference huh?! lol
