Chris is right. Like any other learning experience not just the ABS. What you do with the lessons they teach you comes from within.

Is there such a thing as a "certified" maker of damascus or would you buy the steel from a certified supplier of steel and make your own. How many non-MS's test there damascus blades in a ABS fashion? It is probably safe to say not many. Myself I have never bent one of my damascus blades over...

I'm getting ready to put my OA torch to the tang of a damascus blade. (hidden tang) I want to make sure it is on the soft side before I start my grip. Is there a difference in etch color between hard and soft metal?

Gadgetry,,,, I think it's a word. It works for me but I make stuff. There are more then a few grinding jigs out there to buy. Some of them look very nice. Check out the knife making supply stores. Google is your friend. I've made a few things but nothing like a grinding jig.

I'm lazzzzzy. The guy I get my blade steel from sheers it for me. :D

One of these days I'm going to make a karambit or a kris blade. I'll make a mounting plate with a way large hinge. Sometimes 0,,, sometimes -90°. It's all good. Best of luck to you.
