There are more then a few plans around here to make your own forge. I put mine on a metal cart so I can move it around.

That worked out well. :rolleyes: So,,,, got some jeans that are FR. ;) That only went as far as the first time out. Then today I melted my socks. Really. I'm batten a 1000!!!

I got a piece of 6" dia tube about 2' long from a scrap metal yard. Welded a bottom on it. I could see some little pin holes so I filled them with JB Weld. That was years ago and it has not lost a drop. My welding #@$%*. :D Thank God for JB Weld!!

Where is "here"?? I'm a machinist. We have always been required to have our own tools. Good tools are a must!

I think Gliden07 was close. I have 5 right now. If I get time to slice it up there will be one more tonight for a total of 6.

I'll draw it out and let it cool. Then slice it up. Put it all back together 90° out. Then draw it out till it looks like a knife. Getting there!

Well,,,, Unless I start twitching this is it. In the morning I might change my mind. I've lost to much metal. I'll slice it up and turn it 90°. Then the top will be the sides. Then to think about what to make with it.
