    Maple Burl/Micarta Drop Point Hunter

I really like A2. It performed well cutting up 2x4's and held an edge very well. It is easier to grind than the ats34 I used in my previous knives.

    What size leather?

I have been using 6-7 or 7-8 ounce leather for sheaths so far. Is this too thick or can I use something thinner? Thanks.

    Maple Burl/Micarta Drop Point Hunter

Here is one I only need to clean up a bit. It is 5/32 A2 toolsteel, 8.75OAL , Blade is 4 1/8" long, And the burl is stabeilized. It has a slight dovetail and some vine filework. The pins are stainless corby's. I want to keep this one for Deer season, but thats what I said about the last one I made.

    Tools for a beginner

I wish I had 1500 bucks when I started. The coot, drill press, bench grinder, a metal band saw, files and sand paper. Oh yea you got to be stubborn as a mule and have the want and not get discouraged. I know you will do good.

    Arrowhead/Points/Indian Artifacts

I don't have any pics but I found an arrowhead while bowhunting about 10 yrs ago. A small mesquit tree raised it partially out of the dirt. It was very cool to find something like that. My wife put it away somewhere and I never found it again. I found it north of Laredo , TX around Encinal.
