Looking to buy from any knife maker used 2x48 1 to 1.5hp belt grinder.

The Ulu knives used by eskimo natives is what kind of steel? When you hit them together they produce a loud ping noise. I have 4 of them yet to be done and don't have any knowledge how to start the annealing, heat forge to non-magnetic to oven hardening. Any information greatly appreciated...

Meaning, anneal using my heat forge, heat to non-magnetic to quench in mineral oil, that's what I use and then off to the oven @400degrees for 2hours until hay...

Browsing on ebay I came upon knives made by Ken Richardson sold by distributors and so forth. Curios to know as to how the swirls are made on his knives, I tried to make the same circles using a dremel with a small diamond wheel did not work. Anyone know the how this is done or have tried? I do...

I have been using a norton fine deburring wheel for polishing knives and would like to know if I can use a polishing rouge to use on wood handles and antler as well as steel added to the deburring wheel?

I have a few sanding drums that no longer have silicone grit from constant use. I have a bag of 60 grit silicone powder abrasive need to know what glue to use on drums to re-coat with silicone powder so, to re-use again for grinding steel or wood for handles on knives.

Thanks Ed I will tend to make the end tip much thinner when doing the bevel from the ricasso to the tip. Practice practice...........
