    So after the final sanding is there anything that you can put on cocobolo? would like to give it a sheen.. any thoughts? The only thing i have done in the past is to buff it out. However it seems to loose it sheen/ shine. Aaron

    can you stain stabilized wood? I bought some nice figured pecan and hackberry scales. they are very light in color wondering if i can put a light stain on them. they are not acrylic stabilized, if that matters

    KenH--- they are stainless pins and tube. I epoxied the scales on as well Rob Nelson, I think I might give that a try. I will probably draw it on the scales and see how i like the lines then sand away.. thanks guys Aaron
