If your washer is .020" thick then your detent ball should only be .018" sticking out of the liner. Your blade could have sides that are not parallel to each other and your liner and handle halves may not be perfectly flat.
I went back and looked at the pivot screw and I decided to countersink it more and I turned the face of the screw down some. Looks better. Will try to post new pic today.
