    Cutting Small Screws

Thank you David and Chuck. I have read Bob's Book Front to back a few times. But my knife design uses threaded spacers and stop pins. Chuck I was talking to David at GLWJ he mentioned using scrap to make a fixture and ground down the screws. Seems like you two are right on. When you pull the...

    survival knives

Why should he have to carry an ugly knife? God hope he never has to use it as a survival knife. But if he does it will be an excellent knife. Beautiful work. I sell a lot of Damascus Tactical and survival style knives. The only reason I don't carry a Damascus Survival knife because I can't...

    Finding exotics

Oops I search erotic wood. That was down right scarey. Hell the refrigerator has pop ups and the Cat has a virus. On serious side. Most knife scale is stabilized. if your using samples stay with the denser woods like Ebony, and Ironwoods.

    My first show, any tips?

I bring 6 to 10 knives with a variety of styles. Don't hold back knives, that is just bad business. If you have 15 knives ready bring 15 knives and display 15 knives. But shoot for less is more. I took 5 knives to my last show. If you sell 6 knives you had a good show.

    Gorilla Glue

I had an integral knife hit the floor few weeks back. I decided to use 2-ton epoxy instead of Gorilla Super Glue on it. I wont make that mistake again. It is the only time I ever had a scale pop. I reglued it with GSG.

Why a knifemaker should carry one of his knives.

I use to swear by my Kershaw. I love it, but I gave it to my wife when she broke hers. Now the only knife I carry is a one my integral hunters. Plus it is the only way I could ever afford to carry a Integral. I been Jonesing for a Titanium Locking Liner. Hmmm I have some Titanium, Cpm...

    Composite guard?

Depends you want to fill the file work with epoxy? Gorilla Super Glue will hold it together with just a few drops. Butt it up to the blade and hold it tight with the handle. That is the way I would do it. It wont ever go anyplace. I am actually going to add the same thing to a Sashimi...
