    Marks and stencils, help!

I thought of that but I will be using straight FeCl now without electricity which I understand gives a clearer etch because its the electricity causing most of the fuzzing so smaller details will be ok.

    Marks and stencils, help!

Wow thanks, that will make it all a bit easier. I like how the words underneath it kind of enclose the whole thing. Those are actually really cool, it makes a difference when it's on a computer.

    Marks and stencils, help!

That would be great, thats exactly what I was hoping for. It will be a bit before this batch is ready for marking anyway. If you manage it will be a few days at least before I can get the design because of computers and stuff. I toyed around with various marks before but I think this on is...

    Marks and stencils, help!

Basically I have an etching setup, nothing fancy but it should work, I can get ac and dc so it's all good. What I don't have is a printer of any kind, I don't really have access to one either. What I'm after is someone who makes stencils for less than $60 a sheet, I start uni in a few months so...

    Marks and stencils, help!

Engraving is something I would like to get into but it seems pretty difficult stuff, I have a vibrating graver but it's not particularly good for marking knives

    Marks and stencils, help!

I intend to mark the next knife which leaves my shop but I don't really have a mark. I don't know where to get stencils made in the UK so I guess it's across the pond we go. I could do with some help designing a mark and then I imagine I could do with some guidance on procuring a stencil. I...

Pictures are still a bit useless as is the state of my Internet but here is a bit of an update, the pict is halfway ground and I've done the swedge, I think I'm getting the hang of this grinder but one with more power and less rattling and jumping would be nice. I tried to make a filing jig and...

I'm having trouble with the pictures but I've made progress lately. The Tassie Devil is ready for HT, the Pict is nearly profiled as is the razor, I'm doing another SAK handle for fun as well and I've got that skinning knife ready forHT as well. I've been playing Indy and made another whip. It...

It's been a while since I've been on because of some content blocker, the parents didn't put it there so I can only assume its something to do with our ISP being part of this new nationwide content ban that our PM wants. Apperenly this site is all about weapons and the only way to reduce crime...

    A moment to remember.

For all that don't know today is the 95th aniversary of the Great War ending. It is the equivalent to Veterans Day to the British, Australian and Canadian I believe. Today we all take a moment to remember those who died on both sides of the Great War, and every war since. They shall not grow...

If you're passing through Penicuik on your way to the highlands you wouldn't want to miss the opertunity to show off your knife to a interested teenager. John, you really shouldn't post your knives, I need a dinner suit before I buy one of your knives. You're just making me want stuff I...

    Liner lock help

I have access to the tools I would need so it's just the parts really, I have everything planned out its just a case of which pivots and screws and stuff. Could I use pins to hold it together except at the pivot? And what about washers. I will be trying this with some cheaper steel first.

I won a peice of damasteel in the giveaway. It's only 5" so I figured its going to be a folder. The problem is, I don't know what I need. I have steel, backspacer, stop pin and scales covered.
