Thanks for the compliments. The tool rest is adjustable past 90* both ways . It's on two 4 1/2" ball bearing door hinges and adjust up and down witha 3/8-16 set screw in the middle. The springs on each side hold tension on the table so it doesn't bounce. The table itself is 4" x22". These...

The one in the middle is dymandwood the one on the left is G-10 and the one on the right is micarta.

It weighs a freakin ton. Everything is 1/4" wall cause thats what I could get for free. The bench grinder is variable speed so I figured what the heck. I only use one side of it anyway.

Here are some pics of my newly built NWG and a couple knives I ground today. Once again Tracy is a genius:D

I needed red dye for a sheath. My wife suggested rit. I mixed the rit dye with alchohol and mixed it really strong. Worked great. I use sno seal on my sheaths when I'm finished and there was no red on the rag that I used. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever tried this?

I'll get some pics this weekend of the grinder and some knives. I stay so busy I don't give much thought to takin pics. I promise to get some.

I used 2" tubing with 1/4" inch wall thickness. Put some 1/4" diamond plate between the upright post to add a little bling

I use a 3/4" drum on an oscillating spindle sander.

I use the lansky system. The steel I use is 3/16 so I had to modify the jig to to accuratly hold the thicker steel.

Just ground my first knife on my newly finished NWG. I used the belts that Tracy recommended. Definetly a great improvement over the craftsman 4x36 belt sander that I've been flat grinding on. Tracy you are a genius. I bow to the King2thumbs
