    Keeping dust out.

    For small work you can put the hose of a shop vac near the wheel where most of the dust comes off. will take alot of dust out of the air. And be careful with G10 use a GOOD dust mask!

    Has anyone used Lab Metal for attaching guards?

    I do both solder and tight fit guards. The solders main purpose is to keep moister from creeping where it doesnt need to be. and it looks good on a polished blade. Its also very easy to do. I wish I knew enough about computers to do a tutorial on it. But I'm doing good just to post stuff on...

    Its a great steel. Works good under the hammer, heat treats easy. Cuts great too! If you use junkyard steel, get old large leaf springs . International Harvester steel is good quality.

    Ladder pattern damascus, ivory, 3 piece guard , nickel silver, blued mild steel, nickel silver. all fileworked. Front and rear bolsters. Now its sheath time. Sorry for the awful pics. A photog I aint! God Bless!
