Make your die plates square and the dies centered and then you can turn them 90 degrees in an "H" press and get full 360!

It's such a slow steel that you are getting air hardening. DO NOT!!! go above non-magnetic!!! Just get it dull red, so that it still grabs a magnet and try to slow cool. You may need to do it a couple times, but that is exactly what is happening.
