    I'm about to heat treat a blade I just finished its the first time with cpm d2 is it the same as regular d2 ? Some have you that have used it what temper did you use ? On the recipe I have it says temper at 950 is that correct seems high. Anthony

    On the al Damascus I have the most problems with and like Kevin said is usually on the al Damascus one side will have a pattern and will have random lines and the other side will have really tight lines so it is probably whats causing it to warp I quench it for about 4-5 seconds in the oil then...

    Yeah I have had a couple of the harbor freight mills, and one mill drill combo and I think the solid column Is the way to go as well I owned one that had a tilting column for several years and every time you tried to make a cut of any size the head would jump around the solid column on this one...

    Handles were from a Spanish Goat that the customer had shot. That was a learning experience straightening the Goat Horn it is very curved. they were all the customers design except for the small one that is one of my normal designs. sorry for the crappy pics Anthony
