    I have my buffer mounted off the table on a small shelf that is smaller than the base of the buffer. I also have rubber mat on the floor and on the side of the table.     I think your probability right Dave I was trying to keep it loose enough for easy removal. I'v used a number to the thin sheaths and they seem to rip out from jamming knife back in on the next one I'll run the stitching closer to the knife.
