    That is just stunning. I am pretty much obsessed with the feather pattern. I am still really new at this. I am a bit puzzled about how you get the carbon steel to go black. I have used both muriatic acid and ferric chloride yet my blades go grey. What am I missing?

    Forged this feather billet Sunday. 1095 and 15n20. Best yield yet. 11/16" x 1 1/4" x 7" Hoping for two blades and some guards. I still think my cutter should be more blunt. Was hoping for more drag. That being said, I am stoked about this one. Thanks for looking
