    Good on ya! I own two of these surfacing machines. Nothing beats the shimmer of a planed wood surface. So seeing this makes me very happy.

    this billet was forged using the tire hammer only. I split it using a really dull knife but I think perhaps not dull enough. The left side weld lines drew in nicely. The right side seems to show less feather vein and more crushed "w's

    Thank you all very much. This one was done mostly on a small press and hand hammering. I just built a tire hammer so my methods are evolving. I really like the way this turned out. I need better tooling for handle fabrication. As it stands, my favorite knife usually seems to be the next one.
