Thank you very much. As I get more experience and sell some stuff I want to do it right....I was thinking something like a makers information paragraph, you know, like a brief history and care of the knife portion and materials section.....something like a postcard size?.

What types of information do you send with your knives? Do you have a spec sheet or card that defines the materials, construction methods and care?

Not good news.....

I need a quick and dirty heat treat method for a filet knife.... It is from 440c.....I have a gas forge and a tempering oven...can I get it done? I will be finishing the blade after heat treat, so decarb might not be a problem....I plan on heat treating this evening!

Winter Park Florida....My father was born and raised in Robbinsville. His family was from the Mountain creek area. Lots of Howells still around. We have a home out near the dam. I spend quite a bit of time up there.

Take drive over to the Santeetlah dam, there is a small roadside table at the top on Santeetlah Rd. Park there and climb down the bank, about thirty yards from the dam. There should be two big rocks down by the water....anyways...about halfway down, there is a bunch of cable laying all around...
