    PID in a pinch

In case you very have problems with your forge’s PID or you really don’t mind reading the temp in Celsius, the Harbor Freight http://www.harborfreight.com/ac-dc-digital-multimeter-37772.html multi meter seems to work well. I don’t buy much of anything from them but this will work in a pinch and...

    Knives Illustrated 1999

Howdy All! I was perusing some equipment in a fella’s shop (actually more of a museum) a couple of weeks ago and noticed a magazine on the floor: “Knives Illustrated” August 1999. I started reading the magazine and in the “Knife Knews” section they mention our very own Ed Caffrey putting on a...

    hawk, hunter, and caper

I posted this photo in the hawk forum as well. This is a set I shipped out a couple of weeks ago. All metal construction with axis scales. The hawk haft is regular ole schedule 80. I tested the strength of the hawk head/schedule 80 combo by beating the poo out of an old dead post oak tree. The...

saw teeth on a knife spine

I have had repeated inquiries about creating a knife with saw teeth on the spine. I really like the design of the teeth on the red scorpion knife. They look to be sharp and effective for cutting through bone. Have any of you gents ever done this?
