I use Superglue, too. I've heard it will not hold up to hard abuse, but it's not like you're going to be hitting the handle with a hammer. May not hold up to a considerable amount of Batoning, though.

... this is a BR Montana Guide II that belongs to Oldways on KF. He didn't care for the original handles, so he sent it to me. Stabilized End Grain Olivewood with Brass Pins. Nothing extroordinary, but nice nonetheless. Feels great "in hand".

Hard to tell the size but, if they're large, you may want to cut them down to "scale" size. But leave them oversized, for any warpage or twisting. You can get them exact size when they come back to ya.
