I use my cheap Craftsman bandsaw with a 1/2" wide blade and never had any problems. I use the metal cutting bandsaw for G10. Do you have a 1/4" wide blade on yours. I had the same problem when I was running the stock blade.

I don't think the tree of life would etch very good. Too busy as Travis stated. I would just go with your full name. Think simple when it comes to small stencils.
