What's the finish on the blade?

I had the same problems with magnets before putting a ceramic tile piece on my platen. It immediately fixed the magnetic issue. It's stupid easy to clean up a flat surface.

I use a rag and wd-40 to clean it up as it squished out. I'll watch it for about 5 minutes and then come back every 15 or so minutes. After an hourish I don't really get any more.

Thanks. I use Corby bolts as a mechanical fastener. I may mod a set to go flush with the scales so I can still shape them. Good info.

Should you ceracote a knife prior to handle scales, and will epoxy stick to ceracote if you do? Can you rough up ceracote with sand paper? I've never used the stuff. Thanks.

Thanks guys. The handle was shined up on a buffer wheel. It may have some WD-40 on it though.

I don't know why photobucket has such a hard time getting a pic you edit to show up that way. Pic in the middle sucks, but will be fixed later.
