Well a bench with some easy to clean surface helps, if you can make it a bit bigger than what you need as there are never too many tools you can have on it, this is what works for me

My first knife was made of a old butcher knife steel ,it was shaped into a bush knife and a tanto type, the handle was some scrap Teak from a building site skip, with the HT the total cost 5$
Please be patient with this one I am new...................so if not mistaken one can make the blank stock removal, then HT and then finished and sharpened with no need of a forge ? If so for example how do I know the temperature and for how long I ht the blank is there a guide or something...
Thank you very much for the advice I was not sure what to do at the contrary of USA here knife shows are very few and far so I want to make the best of it
In october 2012 God willing I will be taking part in my very first knife show, I dont know where to start ( besides making knife ) all your help is welcome, tips on the knives, the marketing ,etc etc

I remember that my first knifes where real bad pieces of steel nobody (beside this forum and all and each one of you tought me a thing about knifemaking) A good friend and Knifemaker in Spain once he found out about my new venture come to my help adding more information and gave me some...
Nice work I like carbon fiber for is long lasting , I myself made a Police baton of the same material, extrem light and strong ,the only thing is that from time to time clean it with vaseline it will help it to keep the shine
You very kind my friend ,we close as I live in Spain, but I dont use Moras, I made my own bushcraft knife about a year ago fooling around with some old steel
I have the same dilemma I never used a hetching machine or stamped metal ,I did stamp leather, I dont forge metal so the hetching must be the best option, I need more info if buy or make it and how to use it
