Thanks for the input guys! The Wen and one of the Grizzly's (https://www.grizzly.com/products/Grizzly-Benchtop-1-2-HP-Oscillating-Spindle-Sander/G0739) look very similar. I wonder if they come off the same assembly line... ? If they're the same machine, then I think price and shipping will win...

There is a thread going on in another FB group about welts and stories of guys who have cut through their stitching and into their hands while putting a knife in a sheath. Both of these have welts so the stitching and lacing is through 3 layers of leather and protected from being cut by the blade.

Thanks! They were both glued. The fillet sheath is hand stitched. The other one is just glued and laced, no sewing/stitching.

...and my patience. Getting that basket weave to look good is a challenge. And for some reason you can't just go back to 120 and sand it out again ;-(

Yeah you should ask. If it's legit, maybe reinvest it in more materials or a needed tool if you can and keep the momentum going.
