I hear you. For what its worth they are not too bad once you get started and there are alot of great resources. I have started my own tutorial on blade forums. Its still in progress but if anyone is interested i can link it here. Im no expert but its aimed at helping someone through their first one.

Thanks. The brass is the most challenging so far. It would be much easier with a mill.

I made this knife for my Grandpa. He has helped me alot and I figured I would share it with you guys. As always I would love your feedback. The knife is made from 1084. Handles are purple camel bone and the sheath is made from 8 ounce veg tanned leather hand stitched.

Those all look great. I would also love to try a folder but ive got a ways to go first.

Here is one more. It needs a leather sheath yet. Done in purple camel bone. It was alot darker prior to shaping but i think it still turned out ok. I did have a mishap when shaping the handle so i had to extend the finger choil. I would appreciate any feedback on the materials, design, fit and...
