    Newbie $ about material

Just curious, what purpose are you using this knife for? It must be something pretty severe for lexan to "chip/crack too easily".... Are you sure it was actually lexan?.....plexiglass and lexan are two different things...lexan is a brand name... I saw a demo where 3/8" lexan will withstand a .38...

    Static Electricity Problems

Steve, the wire from the grinder to the ground didn't work because the static is building up within your body..not the grinder...kinda like that old high school science contraption that made a girls long hair stand out straight....you are most likely wearing some sort of rubber soled shoes or...

    Static Electricity Problems

Steve, you can probably get one of the grounding "bracelets" at Radio Shack. It's a pretty common item for people who work on computers.

Congrats Danny! I'm in for the next round. BTW Mark, I received the curly redwood and curly hickory yesterday. Beautiful stuff Mark! The wife thought the redwood was "funkamadellicly pretty" when she saw the grain move and shimmer in the light. :s11779::laugh:

    1st knife from scratch!

Thanks Fred!:) I actually haven't put the cutting edge on it yet. I'm gonna do that after I get the sheath done. For some reason the tang and blade look thicker in the pics than they actually are. The piece of O1 that I started with was just under 1/8 inch thick so the blade is actually...
