good question on the resin getting brittle I don't know . The guy I saw do the demo did not say he had any problems with his pins. I would think you would have to beat up the handle a lot to get the resin to fail. but then you have an extra lanyard hole lol.........steve

at a NC Guild meeting I saw a demo using fiberglass resin it is a little thinner than the epoxy and a syringe to apply it from the top. I haven't tried it yet but his looked great, so many things to do so little time...LOL.........Steve

I got started in this to make knives for my own use and to try different type of blades. I still make knives to test/use and see how my technique is working and the best way I know how is to use and abuse some of my knives of coarse I don't sell those knives but I think it makes the ones I do...

Jerry I have been using the MC Masters 11 for several month and very happy. I use mostly 5160,1075 and 52100 have hand no problems and my test blades have done quiet well. I was told that it might be borderline with 1095 I haven't tried it like some of the others that's not my first choice of...

Thanks for all the great suggestions I finished a sheath for a customer tonight and it turned out great. The last one I made I think some of the wax from the artificial sinew I used got on my hands and spotted the leather and showed when I stained it. That said wetting the sheath before dying...
