How big of a compressor do you have to have to run the jack?

Hey guys! Just used the photogene app to decrease the resolution of the photo above and saved it to my photos on my iPad. Then I used the same method with photobucket as described earlier and I was able to post the photo above without having to go to my home computer. It is really very easy to do!

What size steel do you most commonly start with for small slipjoints? Also, all I have ever worked with is precision ground. Is it really necessary or can you make it work even without a surface grinder? Thanks guys!

Hey Bruce! Have absolutely loved the file guide I bought from you a while back. I've got a question though. I have no problem using it on larger blades and it has greatly improved my grinding. I have tried using it on some small slipjoint blades though and I can't seem to keep from grinding too...

I've had one for about 4 years now. I use it mostly for slotting guards but have also used it recently for cutting the liners for linerlocks. I've never had a moments problem with it. I use it more than my drill press now for folders just because of the ability to assure squareness of the holes...

You will absolutely love the file guide that Bruce makes. It has improved my grinding by leaps and bounds. His craftsmanship is impeccable and it even shows in the file guides he makes!

Thanks Calvin! I had to read your response a few times to get the picture but I think I've got it (I'm kinda slow!). That makes a lot of sense and I bet it is a lot easier than doing it with both sides of the knife in place. I'll have to give that a whirl!
