What do you think of the Gale Force with browned finish? I've also done the gray also but didn't get pictures before customers got the knife.

    Gale Force

Hello Pieter and Dwane, Thanks for your input I value your opionions. What finished do you most like on carbon steel? For a using knife I like a browned finish to lower the maintainence but I also like a steely gray finish from a quick ferric chloride wash and buff and it also brings out...

My name is Kelley Ward and I'm a part time knife maker. Made my first knife (I still have it) in 1989 and started selling in 1993. I try to make 10 knives a month. Starting mading knives under the name K. Ward but was contantly confused with Ken Ward an old time maker from the 1970s. I switched...

    Gale Force

Hello Dwane, Thanks, I’ve powder coated blades now for about 10 years (only powder coat a small number of the total knives I make). The wrinkle finish is new for me and I've only done a couple, it looks good but I'm not sure how well it holds up yet. I see this finish on TOPS knives so...

    Gale Force

Hello All, I've called this knife Gale Force after the powerful winds that under rare conditions have the ability to cut; it is called kamaitachi. In Japanese there are several conceptions of how it looked or operated, but the most common is one of a trio of weasels with sharp claws...

I've used both and don't notice a difference in grinding (stock removal) or the end knife. CR does't have the surface scales that HR does and i love that. The scales are sometimes really hard to get off without surface grinder. Kelley

    Lil Damascus Necker

Hello Dwane, Thanks for the tip, I have 10 magnets on the way and am excited about trying this out. I've stayed away from using Kydex with damascus because of nasty habit Kydex has on scratching blades. Kelley

    Lil Damascus Necker

Hello Duane, Very nice neck knife and Damascus pattern beautiful work. I'm fascinated with your open Kydex sheath and the rare earth magnets. I haven't seen this done before, how does it work? (I'm new to Knife Forums is it OK to discuss this matter here or start something under the Sheaths...

    Hunter in 1080

Hello Milt, for my 2 cents I think the handle looks slim, trim and well rounded. From what I can see in the photo the metal to wood fit also looks good. Great Job. Kelley
