    Inlaid sheath

Terry, my friend, I know what it is like to be 70 years of age---I arrived at that point in my life 18 years ago. I have seen leather craft, crap, and artsy fartsy for more years than most have been alive. Rarely do I comment on anyones work unless I believe it to be outstanding in design...

    My first sewing machine

Chef, the Singer is a fine machine but it a little light weight for a sheath for holster work. It is primarily a patcher for the shoe cobbler. You will find it valuable for light inlays.--------------Sandy

I never try to anticipate the type, or visualize sheath construction, until I have the knife in hand. Making custom sheaths is facinating in that so many knives require different approaches and seldom do I have duplicates in my shop. Pattern making can be as challenging as the construction of...

How many sheaths did you have to make...

I started leather craft as I was recuperating from injuries in a Naval Hospital in 1944. I have continued from that time until the present (over 65 years) with a passion I have had for no other endeavour. I have made thousands of knife sheaths, holsters, gunbelts and related articles. At no...
