    Toaster oven for tempering?

Thank you Wayne, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me. I have tons of questions and have found that the folks here are always willing to lend a hand and share their knowledge. I did get a thermometer when I bought the oven. The wife has put up with me for 30+ years and decided she...

    Toaster oven for tempering?

    Toaster oven for tempering?

The wife was less than thrilled when I told her my plans to use the oven for tempering my blades after HT. I seem to recall someone saying that you could use a toaster oven for tempering small and medium blades. Has anyone ever tried this or heard of it, or was it just my wishfull thinking?

    Homemade etcher voltage ?

Not sure if this is any help, but my personalizer runs off of a 12 volt transformer and the personalizer plus runs off an 18 volt transformer. I've seen other etchers with as high as 24 volt ones, but no higher than that.

What a cool thing to see. Great to see people rally behind someone who could use a hand. Ernie, I would be interested in getting one of your first knives as well. Perhaps a nice skinner or drop point if you can add me to your schedule. Many thanks, Russell

What would you define as overclamping? I use devcon too and always use 3-4 c-clamps on the handles. Are you saying not to over tighten them?
