Bruce Very nice work !!!! I like the shape of the blade but really like the scales you used. How come you don't like using pins to attach everything, thats all I know. I'm afraid to try an use screws or anything else.

I also talked to Lee at Maxim oil yesterday (email) He told me the same thing about making their 7-8 sec quench He is willing to work with us small knifemakers and give us a good product at a good price. John

I built my burner from plans from zoeller forge. it works great and he has a simple plans/parts list to follow.

Pieter, Dwane, thanks for your kind words. Yea though pins gave me trouble on the pivot. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back with everyone. Lots of things goig on at work, Possible layoffs after 20 years.
