What type of products would ya'll recommend for polishing up the knife when completed? I've heard of different compounds that you can use for both the blade and handle? any recommendations??

whats the best way to put a colored spacer on a fixed blade knife? do you glue the spacer to the handle material or tang itself? i think im messing this up!

I found this cholla wood pieces at hobby lobby for under $2 a piece. Anyone with experience with cholla, could this be used to make knife handles? I've seen a few posts on working with cholla wood, but not many. Is this too dried out and fragile? can it be hardened, and if so what type of epoxy...

Sometimes when i'm dying the leather, some spots will form, where no matter how much i put dye on, it wont get through the leather.It;s almost as if its some type of barrier. Anyone know if theres something i can do before hand, maybe treat leather or something?? I'm new to knife building and...

newbie question. I dont know if the hole was slightly bigger than pin, but theres a small crack/crevice next to pin.every time i keep sanding, it just keeps chipping. Anything i can use to fill it, so it will be smooth when i do final sanding? hopefully this picture downloads..thanks!! Oscar...

How hard is it to etch a logo on the blade after you put on a coating?

anyone etch a logo with a dura kote coating, or something similar? I wanted to put a logo on a blade that had one of those coatings.

awesome! just curious, are those horns hollowed out pretty good? did you have problems finding a thick enough piece?
