I put a slight chamfer on my handle pins as well, I also drill out my handle holes a little oversized. Not sure if this is required with stabilized wood, but with a handle material that is porous the extra room is needed when the epoxy is absorbed and swells up the holes around the pins.

My jig is just 2 pieces of angle that I clamp onto my blade using a small deep throat c-clamp. I bought a digital angle gauge from HF and can create/duplicate any angle in less that a minute, been working pretty good for straight grinds so far.

Is it possible to complete a knife blade from start to finish on a grinder? I see lots of folks do the rough grinding on a grinder but finish the blade hand sanding. For a beginner is advisable to finish via hand sanding or just stick with it and learn to finish the blade on the grinder...
