    Well I finaly got time to finish the puff and chop as it was dubbed on another forum. The head was forged from wrought iron with a file bit in the wrapped method. O.A.L.is 24 1/2" and the head is 7" tall with a 3 1/2" bit. Cast in place pewter bands with pewter and antler mouthpiece...

    Micarta was devoloped and originaly used as an insulating material and is just a trade name. That stuff looks a lot like it and depending on what it is made of should work the same. Bob
