    Fluted Damascus Dagger

    Here is a dagger I just completed. My Damascus of 1080 and 15n20. All fittings are same Damascus. Handle is African Blackwood that is double spiral fluted. Sharp and big. Blade is 10 1/2 inches and overall is 16 1/4 inches. Hope you folks like it.

    I would not do it. Shoud be easy to find a better form. Check with an air cond, company for a empty refridgerant can. They just throw them away.

    Here is a tip I got from Bladeforum. Get a chunk of beeswax, and coat the dies when they get warm. Something about the burned beeswax keeps the flux from fusing with the steel dies.     Thanks guy's. The pommel was done on a lathe with an indexing system and I have a router that fits in the lathe and just cut the flower with a small bullnose cutter. It really is very easy (with the right tools).
