    Anybody use ocillating spindle sander?

    I customized one of my belt grinders. The shaft is turned down to 2 sizes and covered with rubber tubing. There are 2 wheels for the backstand idler so I can go from one to the other. Uses 2 X 48 belts. It works great. Also have a platen that I attatch that works for making intergral knives.

    Fluted Dagger and stand

    When drilling ivory, there is a trick I learned. Only use fresh sharp bits and only go in a 1/4 inch and pull the bit out and clean it. Ivory shavings inside will expand and that will cause it to split but when you keep the bit clean, it wont split. Just 1/4inch pull out clean and repeat. I...

    1084 steel, stag, Damascus and wrought iron combination

    Here is one I just finished. It has a 9 1/4 inch blade and is 14 3/4 inches long. Constructed out of materials in description. Full distal taper from guard and is a 1/4 thick at guard. Guard and buttcapp are my Damascus and ferrule and button are wrought iron. Clay Hamon. Hope you enjoy.

    Here is one I made a while back. Light in the hand with a distal taper and well balanced. Pre-ban elephant ivory and my Damascus. 10 inch blade and 16 inches overall (if I remember correctly) First knife to post on this forum and hope you like it.
