Funny when you put everything on the log pieces for the photos it really skews the size of the anvil. Congrats on making knives that big on an anvil that small. ;)

Murph, if you want you can make your own etcher. Supply list and instructions are here. From what I've read on the forums...Some people think it works just as good as the top name, others think they're alright but would prefer a better, and others think they don't work good at all... So mileage...

LOL.... Not sure that is possible. Any guy who is married would be crazy to actually collect them. Sometimes one is too many, although that one for kitchen use would great to have.

Would it work if you used a "t" with a cap on one end to have the heavier/hotter particles to fall into and let the finer particles get pulled into the collector? Flip the "t" on it's side with a cap on the bottom and run the hose horizontally. Then you would just have to remove the cap to clean...
