    How many sheaths did you have to make...

    As a kid I used that trick on my mom when she would go out to work and tell me " you better have the house cleaned up by the time I get home" I use to just spray the cocktail table down with pledge so that when she walked in the door the 1st thing she would see was a nice shiny table and the...

    How many sheaths did you have to make...

    Paul were you making "pro looking" sheaths back before you had a sewing machine. I guess I'm asking if you were selling sheaths that you hand stiched or did you start using a machine B/C you did not like the look of your hand stitching, or was it just so you could keep up with your work load...

    How many sheaths did you have to make...

    ... before you got good at it? I started working with leather just about 3 years ago. In that time I have made 12 sheaths, 2 belts, 3 cases and a money clip. Now my skills have come a long way in the past 10 months thanks to this board, better tools, Chuck & Paul's DVD's. However I would by...

    I think it has to do with "food TV" it's now Cool to cook at home. & the knife block filled with mixed customs has replaced the " henckels block" amongst the home cooking elite. I have talked with a few US knife makers about kitchen knives and most look at the " cliental" the wrong way. They...

    W2 240mm Hybrid Gyuto

    Yup, what I meant dyslexic & spell check does not always work. I'm trying to say that a knife maker can sell more kitchen knives then other types, & that high $$ kitchen knives are becoming mor popular every year.

    KnifeDogs - Kitchen Passaround

    I think a Gyuto is best for a pass around as it's easer to give you feed back B/C most have used one & can compare to ones they like. 52100 would be my # 1, 52100 in a Damascus mix even better...might not get that back (;

    W2 240mm Hybrid Gyuto

    Most kitchen knife enthusiasts and Chefs think that the Japanese Smiths are the only/ best way to go. American made knives are thought to be the worst, thanks to Dexter Russell. I how ever find that the best custom kitchen knives come from custom American makers! Every U.S. custom I have ( with...
