    Burnishing

A little secret (or not) to getting very nice burnished edges is to get them sanded silky smooth before you even begin to burnish. No amount of rubbing or burnishing will successfully smooth a rough sanded or cut edge. You'll simply get a nice shiny lumpy finish.

Looking for some advice about lining leather for sheaths

Same for me as the above. 2/3 ounce veggie tanned cow hide just works best for me. The edges especially blend better when the leathers are of like tannage.

A Couple Just Out the Door for Chad Cunningham

These two I'm happy with. I do love that the ends of the XO stamp comes out in a nice heart at the tip of the sheath. Some meander stamps will do the same. It really pays to study the masters to see these nifty little things. :) The back, I came up with this type of belt loop a few years...

    how to make folder sheath

One of the best folder sheath makers is Gary Graley. He has a well written thread on the subject, well actually a few over there on Blade Forums. I'll post a link to it here, then I want to get Gary's permission to either move the info here or he can actually come on over and make one. :)...

    Stitcher help please?

That is an odd looking machine, the post is the most perplexing. Not sure what this machine is intended for but one of your concerns is how high the foot will raise and how much material that it is capable of sewing. Those two are the most important. I did a short lookup on it and still cant...

This is a test and if it works......I'll bring some leather work over.....

Could be a membership issue, since I am not a member of that forum I cant see the pics, possibly. Its happened many times before when cross posting attachments from one forum to the other, especially if the software isn't compatible.

This is a test and if it works......I'll bring some leather work over.....

I get nothing but error messages. Might be best to host the pictures on a hosting site like photobucket then posting them here.

    First Try at Leather Carving...

Not bad at all for a first attempt at carving, the lines look nice and smooth and so does the beveling. I like how you rendered the tree, very natural. Half the battle is smooth cuts with the swivel knife, I try to keep scrap near to "warm up" on before I go into the actual carving. :) Well...
