    Chef knife

Bedded the blade in handle first time doing it worked fantastic. Polished up Micarta guard and softened tang to drill pin hole. As always the last 10% takes the most time. I was shocked how shiny the Micarta got.

    5 min epoxy

You may be able to add a little more hardener? You would have to experiment with times also temp will play a big part in it hardening too. Maybe able to put in a preheated (120 ish?) oven? Again you would have to play with temps.

Is Majestic Forge still in business??

If this is the case they should have given customers the option to bale on the sale! They also should have explained this when you hit the order button and Ken your right they should have never charged a card until they shipped!

    New Forge

This is driving me nuts. I went to install the Gas delivery portion of the forge the other day. It was still cold out and the Loc-Tite let go! So now I have to disassemble, clean and redo it all!

Gas injection tube and gauge done. I plan on putting a quick disconnect on here, but I have to still order it though. Getting close at least to fire it! Need some self drilling and tapping screws for the fan and 6" to 4" adapter. Brian House dosnt support the fan in his videos but I think I am...

Mounted the mixing tube. I dry fit the gas supply portion on the mixing tube. Im using Loc-Tite liquid sealer for the gas supply portion. Its to cold to use it outside so i have to bring it in and get everything warmed up before i can disassemble the gas supply and seal it all up. I will use the...

    New Forge

Finally some real forward progress!! Only 33 degrees but I had to do something on this project! Most all sub assemblies are done. The biggest PITA was to try and get all the keyed parts to fit together all at the same time. I thought this part would be the easiest and I was WRONG!! LOL!! I had...

Hope to get out there today? Suppose to be mid 30s!! A friggin heat wave!! Snow here has been pretty slow but constant. 1" or 2 here 5-6" there but it's been cold the whole time so most of it has stuck around! This Winter I think you Southern guys have gotten bigger 1 time storms than us!! It's...

    New Forge

Most of the exterior painted with High Temp paint (shop is damp, so just a bit of rust preventing, sure it won't last?). Firebricks are all cut, too! Everything has to dry for a day. Winter in New England Cellar is cold so paint takes at least a day to dry to handle! Nothing will get done...

Unidentified "Victory" Knife from early 20th Century

Cool knife!! A lot of people are into those huge Bowie style knives! I personally like a more compact hunting or EDC style knife. Don't get me wrong I've made the larger type knives but they are definitely not my favorites. It's like I've always wanted to make a sword, but why!! LOL!
