I just picked up some 3V based mainly on posts I've seen about it from you and Jerry. I prefer carbon steels so corrosion resistance is not a big deal. I'm looking forward to making some knives out of it.

I had heard post HT it was a bear to work. Wear resistance is insane. Has to be hard to resharpen.

I just removed the ram from my arbor press and drilled a hole that my stamp would fit in into the end. Then to keep it straight I drilled tapped a hole in each flat near the bottom and screwed in 4 machine screws that clamp and straighten the stamp securely. It has worked well.

I just used large rubber washers from Lowes and cut smaller ones from it with my punches. No problem on making the same sheath. Let me know how it goes. MO

I haven't worked out a solution but I have the same problem the the variable disk grinder I just got from Rob. I was just going to run a new line to the garage.
