    Getting Started!

I'm going to second the drill press. Straight holes were my first issue that I needed to solve. A decent drill press vise is needed at the same time. At least a 3" one to securely hold your work and allow precision when drilling. While a 1x30 will work for a couple of knives, look for a 2x...

    First Knife Handle Repair

Looks good! I have a 1.25" round punch and a small bag punch. As I'm making sheaths I punch out all my smaller scrap pieces and throw them into a baggie for future use.

Thank you Dogs! Chuck your DVD was hard to find in stock. When I finally got it, it was very well made and clearly explains the sheath making process. I especially like the fact that it covers hand stitching. Most of the other DVDs out there are based on sewing machines. I am an admin on a...

What's the best stitching pony design?

I took the small one from Tandy and added a piece of 3/4"x3"x10" wood under it to move the piece that goes under your legs back a bit. Next I wrapped 8 oz leather around the holding arms. The last thing I have done is change out the tightening screw to a thumb screw to make it easier to adjust...
