    Anvil help

I started with a 4x4x14" square. My friend who started this journey at the same time as I welded two 8" pieces together. His did not work the same as mine. It definitely takes more work to use his. I gave him mine when I got my actual anvil. I cut a 7" piece off his and use it as my travel demo...

    Diamond steel sharpeners ?

I use a Spydeco Sharpmaker. In it's basic configuration the unit has two sets of ceramic triangular shaped rods. I added the extra fine ones and get super sharp edges with it. edge jigs. to make or to buy?

I started with a homemade one. Then got the Bubble Jig. It helped me go free hand. I've loaned it to a friend to try. It's also good for grinding sweges. I highly recommend the Bubble Jig to start with. You can build a forge a lot easier than trying to duplicate a jig similar to it.

I have an original Phere that still going strong. I bought mine not sure of the unit or if I was seriously going to make knives full time. It has served me well. I have several friends that have purchased them after using mine. Jose has great customer service and nearly always answers the phone...

    Testing the waters....grinder anyone?

Anthony I'd like to suggest you make the tooling arm 1.5x1.5" instead of 1.25". That way a standard size KMG style arm would fit it. Most grinder tooling accessories come in that size.

    Testing the waters....grinder anyone?

Anthony you would need to show some photos of the unit to spark interest. Price point is going to be very important on this endeavor as there are several different options in the market currently. Would this be an entry level unit or a more advanced performing machine?
